Taking the technology as a linking element between the environmental and social approaches, the area is focused in relationships among technological processes, nature and society, creating consistent mechanisms to build responsible environmental solutions through a necessary and complex interdisciplinary approach.
Technology & Environment
This research topic investigates the natural processes, and the reciprocal interactions between man and nature in different scales of space and time. This line also evaluates the environmental aspects of the technologies, whether those traditional or those valuated and improved with the adoption of new practices and technologies.
Technology & Society
This line seeks to evaluate and develop technologies, and to investigate transferring strategies in order to promote socioenvironmental interactions. The emphasis is to develop efficient and sustainable productive processes, to minimize problems from the relationship between society and nature.
